Lead glass radiation protection (R-X, R-GAMMA)
XRAY-GLASS lead glass is a type of glass that contains lead oxide instead of calcium oxide in its composition.
This type of glass allows operators of X-ray equipment to have visual contact with the facilities and the patient while they are in operation. Its main application is in hospitals, laboratories, non-destructive testing facilities, etc.
XRAY-Glass contains 52% Pb, and combines very high shielding efficiency and excellent optical transmission. It does not suffer discoloration due to exposure to radiation.
