Possible classifications for DIN EN 356 laminated glass according to their level of security, ranging from lowest to highest protection:
P1A
3 triangular impacts from a height of 1500 mm.
P2A
3 triangular impacts from 3000 mm high.
P3A
3 triangular impacts from 6000 mm high.
P4A
3 triangular impacts from 9000 mm high.
P5A
9 triangular impacts from 9000 mm high.
P6B
From 30 to 50 axe blows without opening breakage.
P7B
From 51 to 70 axe blows without opening breakage.
P8B
More than 71 axe blows without opening breakage.
There are five low (P1A to P5A) and three high (P6B to P8B) protection classes. Only safety glazings in resistance classes P6B, P7B and P8B offer burglary protection.
